*This position will provide project management and coordination as well as administrative support to an inter-disciplinary team of researchers, writers, and community partners in carrying out a funded program of research, creation, and public dissemination. It will be based at the University of Saskatchewan and will also involve working with other universities and community organizations in Saskatoon as well as nationally. While this is not a research position, an awareness of research processes, of community-based research practices, and of research funding processes is important.

Intervention/Wellness worker
*Description of Project and Primary Purpose:
The main objective of the néhiyaw wîcihitowin (Cree helping Cree) project is to decrease the current rates of Indigenous incarceration and to mitigate recidivism via culturally adapted interventions for youth and their families in the Little Pine and Poundmaker First Nation, Saskatchewan. Ultimately, it is also to create and sustain safer communities for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. The néhiyaw wîcihitowin project requires two wellness workers to work as intervention staff. They will work with youth, leadership, families, and schools to implement culturally adapted programming.
