—For emerging international (and Canadian) scholars at the graduate and PhD level to visit a Canadian (or international) university or academic institution to conduct research for their thesis or dissertation in the field of Canadian Studies.

Canadian Studies Postdoctoral Research Fellowships
—Open to international (and Canadian scholars) who have completed a doctoral thesis (within the last five calendar years) on a topic primarily related to Canada, to visit a Canadian (or international university) with a Canadian Studies program for a research fellowship.
Value: C$10,000 maximum

Pierre Savard Awards
—To recognize and promote outstanding scholarly monographs on a Canadian topic in three categories: 1) Book written in English; 2) Book written in French; and 3) Book written in a language other than French or English.

The Brian Long Best Doctoral Thesis in Canadian Studies
—Recognize and promote each year an excellent PhD thesis on a Canadian topic that contributes to outstanding scholarship on Canada written by a member (or one of his/her PhD students) of a Canadian Studies Association or Associate Member Association. Members of the Canadian Studies Network are encouraged to apply for this award.

ICCS support for upcoming conferences
Many associations have exciting upcoming conferences. The ICCS would be pleased to include a letter of welcome in the conference program (and supply additional funds for printing costs). The ICCS President would be delighted to say a few words of welcome at the conference. The application form can be found at this link. Applications should be received prior to the conference. 
 
Emerging Scholars’ Conference Support
The ICCS will contribute C$350 to support the participation of emerging scholars in conferences organized by ICCS member associations. The application form can be found at this link. Applications should be received prior to the conference.
