PhD in Holocaust History and in Genocide Studies
The Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts, U.S.A. seeks applications to its doctoral program in Holocaust History and Genocide Studies and to its cross-disciplinary PhD in Genocide Studies. Applications from any country are welcome.
The Strassler Center is a forum for education and scholarship about the Holocaust, the Armenian Genocide, and other genocides around the world. Dedicated to teaching, research, and public service, the Center trains the genocide studies scholars of the future—the next cadre of professors, teachers, museum directors and curators, and non-governmental organization and government agency experts-about genocide and genocidal situations. Our faculty, serving as doctoral advisors, include Elizabeth Imber (Modern Jewish history), Thomas Kühne (Holocaust and European history), Ken MacLean (East Asia and Transitional Justice), Elyse Semerdjian (Armenian Genocide and Middle East), and Frances Tanzer (Holocaust and Jewish history), and affiliated faculty from eight departments.
The deadline for applications to the program is 15 January 2025.
