Call for participants (re: research on SOGIE settlement)

Hello,

My name is Sarah Vanderveer, and I am the Principal Investigator and PhD candidate in Sociology at York University in Toronto, ON.

My doctoral research explores SOGIE newcomers' settlement experiences, including the challenges, practices, and beliefs that shape settlement.

I am currently recruiting SOGIE newcomers to participate in this study through interviews and/or focus groups. (poster attached)

Goals of this study include developing knowledge regarding whether and how SOGIE identities shape settlement practices,

influence accessing settlement supports, and how SOGIE-specific support organizations impact the settlement of SOGIE newcomers.
