Milestones in Canada CFP
Eötvös Loránd University, Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary and Pázmány Péter Catholic University are pleased to announce a conference on “Milestones in Canada” to be held in Budapest, Hungary, on November 26-27, 2026.
Canada’s history, culture, and identity have been shaped by pivotal moments that continue to influence its social, political, and economic landscape. From Confederation to contemporary debates on reconciliation, multiculturalism, and sustainability, these milestones offer rich opportunities for scholarly reflection. This conference seeks to explore how key events, policies, and cultural developments have defined Canada’s trajectory and how they resonate in today’s global context. By examining these turning points, we aim to foster interdisciplinary dialogue that deepens our understanding of Canada’s past, present, and future.
Abstracts of papers (maximum 250 words) and a one-paragraph CV (maximum 100 words) for those planning to deliver papers should be submitted by e-mail to the organizers at
