Radcliffe-Brown and Firth Trust Funds

The aim of the awards, which are jointly funded by the Association of Social Anthropologists (ASA) and the RAI, is to help scholars in social anthropology who are handicapped by lack of funds to work towards the completion of research upon which they have already embarked.

PhD students associated with British or Commonwealth universities who plan to submit their thesis within six months of the application deadline are eligible to apply for this award. Grants of up to £750 from the Fund are made at Trustees' meetings twice a year.

The closing dates for applications are 30 April and 30 November each year.
