Announcement Artpolitical: Margaret Atwood's Aesthetics - free pre-conference online event on 12 March 2021
The international conference "Artpolitical: Margaret Atwood's Aesthetics"--originally planned for Oct. 2020 and co-organized by Dr Dunja Mohr (Erfurt) and Dr Kirsten Sandrock (Göttingen), Germany, sponsored by the Margaret Atwood Society, the Association for Canadian Studies in German-speaking Countries, the IRTG, and the German National Research Foundation--had to be postponed to October 14-16, 2021. Whether this will happen as F2F at the University of Göttingen or rather online, we will decide in due course.
As Oct 2021 seems a long way off, we have organized a shorter preliminary (free) online kick-off event Friday, 12 March, 16:00-19:30h Central European Time (via Zoom), where we'll welcome three keynote speakers:
Crispin Sartwell (Dickinson College), whose term 'artpolitical' in Political Aesthetics (2010) inspired the conference,
Wendy Roy (University of Saskatchewan), and
Fiona Tolan (Liverpool John Moores University).
We most heartily invite you to join! Please register via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/artpolitical-margaret-atwoods-aesthetics-pre-conference-online-event-tickets-138221812161
Feel free to post and share the Eventbrite link, poster and programme.
